THE GOOD, THE BAD & THE UGLY Hike to Golden Gate Canyon State Park | Sunday, May 31 @ 11 a.m.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park is a precious gem in the crown of Colorado’s public land.

Tragically, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Colorado State Forest Service under Gov. Jared Polis has been logging (including clearcutting) the high-elevation mountain park in the name of wildfire despite the abundance of peer-reviewed science showing such cutting doesn’t protect communities (only home hardening does that) nor reduce high-severity wildfire (a natural phenomenon driven by weather and wind).

Come on this moderate 5-mile guided hike to see the good, the bad, and the ugly of Colorado’s “land management” and how you can advocate for protecting BOTH our public lands from industrial extraction AND communities from wildfire.
